How it Works: How to Order Your Pencil Portrait

At MCB Pencil Portraits, I specialise in creating lifelike drawings of people, pets and animals from your cherished photographs. Each portrait is meticulously hand-drawn with high-quality ivory-black Artists’ pencils, ensuring every detail, from the sparkle in their eyes to the texture of their fur, is captured with precision. Whether it’s a beloved family pet or a tribute to a companion who’s crossed the rainbow bridge, my portraits serve as heartfelt keepsakes to treasure forever.

How It Works

Getting your pencil portrait is simple:

  1. Send Your Photo
    Choose a clear, good-quality photo. I can also work from multiple photos if needed.
  2. About the Details
    You can tell me what you’d like, for example, if you want more than one person or pet.
  3. I Start Drawing
    I sketch the layout first, then build up layers of shading to add depth and realism. Each portrait takes around 15–25 hours.
  4. Finished & Sent to You
    I’ll email you a final image of the portrait for your review before payment and posting. It’s carefully packed and sent in a strong, hard-backed envelope to protect it.

Larger sizes or custom requests are welcome.
